Dan Florness Dan has been the Chief Financial Officer of Fastenal Company, a publicly traded company (FAST: NASDAQ), since joining the company in 1996. In addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer, he became Executive Vice-President at Fastenal in 2002. He grew up in western Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, earning a Bachelor's Degree in accounting in 1986. After college graduation and before joining Fastenal, Mr. Florness spent ten years working for KPMG Peat Marwick LLP in Minneapolis and New Jersey.
